My Teaching Philosophy

I believe a teacher cannot be successful, unless they are continuing to be a student themselves. I hold a space for dancers to feel open and accepted, regardless of their past training.  I teach to pass on my own experiences to students, while in return, learning from them.

I desire to create a space where each individual dancer is determined to challenge themselves, as well as be their own biggest supporter. When in class, dancers work together, not against one another. There is no hierarchy when entering my classroom and I encourage my students to challenge me, as well as the world around them. The space I create accepts everyone who is passionate about what they do and are willing to put the work in for their goals. I desire to push students with challenging work, while also acknowledging proper rest, nutrition and overall well being. I hope each student I teach takes away from me a love for dance and themselves!
